About Me

Brian is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in Information Science (Mathematical Informatics) at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology with the support of the Monbukagakusho (MEXT) scholarship. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics with Specialization in Mathematical Finance and a Minor in Chinese Studies from Ateneo de Manila University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the Program Awardee distinction. Additionally, he earned his master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Major in Mathematical Finance from the same institution.

With a strong quantitative foundation in mathematics and programming, Brian is a quick learner with extensive research experience in Mathematical Modeling, Graph Theory and Decision Diagrams, Machine Learning and Data Science, as well as Finance and Econometrics. His involvement in mathematics and competitive programming competitions has further honed his problem-solving abilities. Driven by a passion for bridging the gap between theory and application, Brian aims to leverage quantitative methods to drive innovation and create real-world impact.

Additionally, Brian has demonstrated notable leadership skills as the president of the Ateneo Mathematics Society during his senior year and as the academics department head in his junior year. These roles have refined his ability to lead and inspire, complementing his academic and research accomplishments.
